The 'L' is important to notice, because it stands for the 4G or LTE variant and has got a different enclose. This device contains:
- a battery (ST-905L => 5000mAh, ST-915L => 10.000mAh)
- an enclosure with a 4G pcb antenna on the side, magnetic plate on the backside
- a PCB (marking AT905-V1.0-20220111) with:
- Front: a power switch, sim card slot, usb-c charging port, soldered battery connection
- Back: a sealed microphone, a vibrator, gps antenna
- the simcom A7670E module (not named by vendors website, https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/A7670E_Cat-1_HAT)
- a gps module quecktel L76K

usage
mostly the device is configured over SMS or the Sinotrack Pro android app. It is not clear whether this device takes the config codes to interprete those as AT commands or a special firmware works on this device
self hosted tracking server
there seems to be just one solution: https://www.traccar.org/ . At least you can use those devices without the life-time free vendor server, but it is preconfigured and you need to disable it somehow.
